And here I was thinking I aint impulsive !!

One minute I am sitting at the Gulf Bike Week listening to local bands rock the stage with some nice rock/alternative/jazz/blue tunes and the next im searching the local classifieds for some used cheapo drumkit !!

I've always been fascinated with percussions; drums to be specific. As a kid my Dad (who never had the time or the opportunity to pursue music) put me through almost all the musical instruments hoping I would pickup on atleast one of them. Except the drums ofcourse which he believed was not "distinguished". Anyhoo years later, when in uni I decided to pursue my passion and got my self a brand new Yamaha YD series dumkit in super sexy gloss black with the Zildjian rock series cymbals :-D. I had the time of my life playing it and it was probably the only instrument that I ever played which I managed to pick up so soon and teach mysself too. Owing to the noisy nature of the instrument practicing wasnt the easiest thing to do with family at home. A few months later it sat in the corner collecting dust. And a few years later during a move to a different apartment I sold it off to a kid (who is actually quite good now!!)

Watching those local bands perform got me and my buddy charged up and well, we figured we were still not too late. So fast forward 24 hours and we are at a small music shop (crammed with equipment) in some corner in sharjakistan !! Found a cheap drumkit which someone bought and returned a month later, tried it out(and realised i need a lotta practicing to do) and I walked out 750 D's lighter with a big FAT SMILE on my face :-D
Next stop: friends apartment where we put our New used kit :-P

Watch this space for some amateur recordings !!

Quick update on the training:

I finally took a stopwatch along with me to record the actual time spent jogging/walking.
22 minutes of jogging at a speed of 5.0kph(an assumption) - works out to about 2 km which is not too bad for 10 days of training
Wrapped it up with bicep curls 10kg X 3 Sets (12-10-8)
